In 1912, after opening their second weaving mill in Washougal, WA to expand on their wool blanket production, Pendleton created their legendary virgin wool men’s shirt.
By 1929, Pendleton was making a complete line of men’s virgin wool sportswear based off the original shirts popularity. But when they introduced a women’s line in 1949, the company was blown away by the success this new venture gained and continued expanding the women’s collection.
Under the direction of the Bishop family, Pendleton has thrived into seven operating facilities, with seventy-five Pendleton retail stores. You can shop for apparel, as well as their classic wool blankets and home goods in their mail catalogs and online as well.
