When you hear the name Raleigh, you probably think of the beautiful city in North Carolina, but there’s more than just beautiful scenery and rich American history there. Victor Lytvinenko and Sarah Yarborough, who recently have been accepted into the Council of Fashion Designers of America, started Raleigh Denim in 2007 in their hometown of Raleigh.
The husband and wife team learned a lot about the design and construction of denim garments through informal apprenticeships of former craftsmen and pattern makers. They built a shop downtown, and assembled a team where they continue to produce jeans that that combine classic workmanship with modern fits. Overtime they’ve expanded into men’s and women’s collections, all produced right here in the U.S.A.
