Whole Foods Market

Are you a health food lover? Try shopping at Whole Foods, the grocery store that provides the finest natural and organic foods available. Whole Foods Market has strict standards when it comes to what they put on their shelves and have a commitment to sustainable agriculture.

This American company originally started in Austin, Texas, back in 1980 when four business people decided the city needed a store that provided only natural and organic foods. The founders felt that big grocery chains fooled you into thinking their food was high quality, so Whole Foods Market decided to provide what other stores couldn’t.

The original staff only consisted of 19 people but they were hardworking Americans determined to complete what they set out to do. They were smart to begin their business venture when they did because there were only five other natural food stores in the country at the time.

In addition to timing, their location was also a perfect place to start. Austin is a great city with people who truly care about their neighbors. They realized the importance of buying healthier, local food would help not only help themselves, but their neighborhoods, and entire country as well. The future of small stores like Whole Foods depends on locals who provide business when business is hard to come by.

Thanks to the loyal citizens of Austin, Whole Foods Market is now a multi-billion dollar company with hundreds of locations across the United States and the United Kingdom. Buying locally from American companies such as Whole Foods gives the people a chance for their business to grow. There may be a small supermarket in your neighborhood that will one day grow into an international company like Whole Foods, and it all starts with you.

My family absolutely loves Whole Foods Market. It’s comforting to know that every item I pick up there does NOT contain high fructose corn syrup. Yes, it is a little pricey but nice to know that there products are of high quality and a lot times locally grown and it’s because of Whole Foods strict standards that we keep going back.

My family loves WFM! Yes I pay a little more but I don’t have to stand around reading labels all day and I know my family is getting sound nutrition. I also love the fact that it’s a Texas founded company. Go Texas!
