Each Air Pogo swing is hand-made at Laurel Industries in Mississippi by people with physical or intellectual disabilities according to The Clarion Ledger. This program from Ellisville State School helps individuals with prevocational skills, and provides an amazing opportunity for those who could have had a difficult time finding employment without the prior experience. They gain their independence by having employment and understanding how a job works.

The Air Pogo was a stroke of genius from Ted Webb after he saw the silhouette of a bungee jumper, then watched his kids playing on a tree swing for hours and having a blast. He thought he’d end up only making one of the toys and enjoying it with his family, but that quickly turned into many requests and he decided to go ahead and patent the product so he could make many more.  They started by making each one in their own home, and even though production has soared, they are still made 100% from start to finish in America.
