Buffalo Games began as a small office in north Buffalo, New York, who outsourced their production to manufacturers all around the country, and is now a sprawling 87,000 square foot manufacturing facility for jigsaw puzzles and party games in North America. Paul Dedrick, founder and president, has said their switch to domestic production has been a factor in their success. “By producing in the U.S., we feel that we are best able to serve our retail partners…”, he said recently in an interview with FoxBusiness at the Toy Industry’s Toy Fair.

Buffalo Games is intent on keeping their puzzles and games manufactured in America and focuses on the quality of their products. Account executive Tom Lang has attributed their increase in sales, while the puzzle industry was experiencing an overall slump, to their high-caliber jigsaw puzzles. “Producing in America allows us to concentrate on making high-quality puzzles. We focus on the thickness of the pieces – the way they snap together – and the images themselves,” said Lang. They use premium paper, the thickest graphic board available, and durable set-up boxes, which has made their 1,000 piece puzzles their top sellers overall.
