Nestled in the quiet town of Eugene, Oregon, Terrapin Toys brings nostalgia for the days of squeezing and shaping softdough in the palm of your hands. Coming in small (5 oz) and large sizes, with a variety of colors, there are endless possibilities for kids of all ages ready to mold this playdough into any possible shape.
Mary Newell, board member of Eugene’s Handmade Toy Alliance (HTA), created Mary’s Softdough in 2007, after encountering a number of issues with quality control found in toys being sold from international distributors. Since their initial development, Terrapin Toys have been featured in a number of high profile programs and publications, most notably including Martha Stewart.
Terrapin Toys follows regulations outlined by the Handmade Toy Alliance, in an effort to best ensure all materials have been thoroughly tested through a variety of sources.
