The family-owned company It’z Purple introduced their new take on the classic dollhouse only a few years ago, in 2010. Originally created as a gift for the founders daughter, the company’s “American Dollhouse” is a collapsible dollhouse that is made for 18” dolls.

Founder of “It’z Purple”, Kathy O’Brien, originally looked to outsource the production of her new product to China. But, after seeing the lack of American-Made products available, the company decided instead to produce the item itself at it’s headquarters in Chicago, IL. They now produce four room, two room, and one room doll houses that are made in America! The price for 1 room is $75, two rooms are $90, and 4 rooms are $105.
