It’s no secret there are some uneasy labor laws, or lack there of, in foreign countries. That’s what makes American made products so much more appealing to those in the know.
Below are a few labor law facts that further prove why supporting made in America means a better and safer America for our workers!
-Everyone is eligible for employment regardless of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
-You cannot be fired from your job based on discrimination, retaliation, defamation, breach of explicit contract, or fraud.
-Employees cannot be forced into working more than 48 hours a week. Employees 16 and 17 years of age are not allowed to work more than 8 hours a day or 40 hours a week, and can’t by law even if they wanted to.
-U.S. Fair Labor Standards Act allows minors ages 14 and 15 to work outside of school time for limited hours, in non-mining or non-manufacturing industries.
These laws and required guidelines are what set us apart from other countries that don’t give their employees similar rights. We want American employees to work in a safe and fair environment, which is why supporting made in America products, means a better and SAFER America.
