Spending money in America on U.S. services and goods obviously has a direct correlation to simply supporting America. However, did you know that in the decade of 2000-2010, we lost 33.1% of manufacturing jobs in the U.S.? That’s more than the Great Depression, which lost 30.9% according to the Huffington Post.
Our trade deficit to China is roughly $300 billion per year as of recently says Law360, and that $300 billion is lost just simply on over consumption of products made cheaply and unsafely overseas. By making a conscious effort to buy more American made goods, there will be an increase in demand for American made goods. This, in turn, will lead to more stateside jobs.
If there is more demand, creating more work, U.S. based manufacturing plants are going to need more employees as well. By supporting American goods and services, we are also creating more jobs for our fellow Americans, helping keep the economy on an uprise by supporting ourselves. Creating more jobs in America seems to be a struggle at times, so with just one solution, to buy more American goods and services, we can solve many problems.
